AIETI Medical School was founded in 1989, becoming the first private medical institution in Georgia. It was established by Academician David Tvildiani and Dr. Dimitri Tvildiani. In 2011, it achieved full university status and was renamed as David Tvildiani Medical University, honoring its founder.
