
Samara State Medical University, founded in 1919 as a medical faculty of Samara State University, gained independent status as a university in 1993. Over the last century, it has risen to become one of Russia’s most respected medical institutions, with a mission to train skilled healthcare professionals through solid theoretical and practical learning.
The university comprises six faculties—General Medicine, Preventive Medicine, Dentistry, Pediatrics, Pharmacy, Nursing Education—served by around 80–90 departments and supported by eight research institutes. It operates its own multidisciplinary clinic with over 1,000 beds, offering students in-depth clinical exposure. More than 7,000–8,000 students study here, including about 900–1,000 international students, taught by over 600 staff members.
Samara State Medical University is recognized by WHO, NMC (India), ECFMG, FAIMER, WDOMS, and AMC. It offers a 6-year MBBS program (5 years academics + 1 year internship) taught fully in English, with no entrance test required. The curriculum focuses on research collaboration, practical training, and internship preparation for global licensing exams.

- Completed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English, scoring at least 50% aggregate in PCB (general category)
