
Smolensk State Medical University (SSMU) is one of the oldest and most prestigious medical universities in Russia, located in the city of Smolensk, about 360 km west of Moscow. Established in 1920, the university has a rich legacy of training medical professionals from around the world.
SSMU is recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO), National Medical Commission (NMC – India), Medical Council of Canada, and other global medical authorities. The medium of instruction for international students is English, and the university hosts students from over 50 countries, including a large population from India.
